A timestamp is a photo or video of the item you are selling or trading that includes your handwritten username and the current date (formatted as mm/dd/yyyy). This serves as proof that you physically possess the item and helps ensure transparency in online trading.

Failure to post a timestamp will result in your post being removed.

• A photo of all offered items with a piece of paper showing your handwritten username and date (MM/DD/YYYY).
• Must use the username for the platform you are posting on (Reddit or Discord).
• Must be handwritten using pen, pencil, or marker—easily legible (no cursive or fancy script).
• The date must be less than 7 days old. Predated timestamps are not allowed.
• Digital timestamps (written on a tablet, etc.) are not allowed.
• Photos of boxes or screenshots are never valid.

• Every item offered for sale or trade requires a timestamp.
• Multiples of the same items must all be visible in a single timestamp.

• A short video showing any offered item with the timestamp clearly visible in the video's first moments.
• Video should be under 20 seconds, recorded at 720p or higher, with no edits or cuts.

• Sellers with more than 15 confirmed trades do not need video timestamps.
• Items valued at $400+ or groups of items with a combined value over $400 require video timestamps.
• Items priced below market value still require a video timestamp.

• A photo or video showing software/BIOS details for hardware that can't be captured in standard photos (e.g., RAM, SSD, CPU, GPU).
• If software is unavailable, a model number timestamp will suffice.
• Device-Specific Requirements:
  • CPUs: Include a CPU-Z, System Info, or Speccy timestamp for all installed CPUs (including laptops/MacBooks). Screenshots are not allowed.
  • Phones/Tablets: Show “About Device” or “System Info” with model number, storage, and/or RAM. Censor IMEI and personalized device names.
  • If your device does not support showing specifications via software, a timestamp of the model number will suffice.

• Hardware hidden behind heatsinks (e.g., CPUs or SSDs).
• Non-serviceable laptops, prebuilts, and devices with multiple configurations (e.g., cell phones, tablets).
• Game consoles (Steam Deck, ROG Ally, PlayStation 5, etc.) must show the model number/SKU and current storage.

• Sealed items must have a timestamp of both ends, with the seals visible in one photo per seal. If the item is sealed, do not unseal it.
• For items without a seal, open the packaging to show the contents in the timestamp.

• Should be clear and well-lit to avoid any ambiguity. Poor-quality timestamps may lead to posts being rejected.
• Should not be edited or manipulated in any way, apart from censoring sensitive information like IMEI or serial numbers.

• Capture “sensitive” items closely (e.g., motherboard socket pins, AMD processor pins).
• Clearly timestamp any damage or defects to avoid “Item Not As Described” disputes.
• Redact phone numbers, MEIDs, IMEIs, and serial numbers, but do not redact model numbers or specs.
• Keep an unredacted personal timestamp for your records in case of disputes. Moderators may request IMEI/Serial Number for confirmation.

• Pre-Shipping Photo: Take a photo of the item securely packaged with your handwritten username and date. Include any protective materials used (e.g., bubble wrap).
  • Ensure the photo shows that the item is safely packaged to avoid damage during shipping.
• Proof of Shipping: Consider including a timestamped image of the shipping label before mailing, as it can help resolve any delivery disputes.
• This can protect both sellers and buyers from issues related to item conditions during transit.
