Confirming Trades

To confirm trades on Discord, you will use the confirm-trades channel, and choose one of the 3 options below depending on if you are the Buyer, Seller, or performed a trade.

You will need to obtain the Message Link from the original listing in selling or buying. If there is no post to get a message link from, you can not confirm the trade in our system.

If you do not have the listing on hand, go to the bot-spam channel and use the command !posts [username] to list that user's market posts. You can copy the link provided there.

If you have the post, you can also get this link from the post directly:

  • Desktop: Go to the listing and click Copy Link.
  • Mobile: Long press on the listing and tap Copy Link.

Choose the appropriate option, being sure to replace [item] with the item in the transaction, and use the other party's Discord @user when you fill out the confirmation message.

Proper syntax:

  • You are the BUYER. Bought [item] from @user on [messagelink]
  • You are the SELLER. Sold [item] to @user on [messagelink]
  • You TRADED an item for an item. Traded [your item] for [their item] with @user on [messagelink]

Your submission bar should look like this:

If multiple items were involved you can use the largest/highest value item for confirmation, or list them out.

Once filled out, send the message to this channel, which will ping the other user that a trade confirmation has started.

The other party will need to “Reply” to the post. This means you will need to click the Reply “Icon”, or click the Three Dots and click “Reply”.

The only suitable reply is !confirmed, nothing more, nothing less.

Things to Note

  • This is not meant for a review or feedback, don't thank the user, or any other chat.
  • Local Trades are not added to confirmed trade count.
  • Editing a post to correct it will not work. If you make a mistake, you must delete and and try again.
