  1. To set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on Reddit, follow these steps:
  2. Log In to Reddit: Go to the Reddit website or app and log in to your account.
  3. Go to User Settings: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner, then select “User Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Navigate to Security: In the User Settings menu, click on the “Security” tab.
  5. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: Look for the option to enable two-factor authentication. You may need to enter your password again for security reasons.
  6. Choose Your 2FA Method: You can choose to use an authentication app (like Google Authenticator or Authy) or receive SMS codes. If using an app, you'll need to scan a QR code provided by Reddit.
  7. Enter the Verification Code: After setting up your method, enter the verification code generated by your authentication app or sent via SMS to confirm the setup.
  8. Backup Codes: Reddit will provide you with backup codes. Save these in a secure place; they can be used if you lose access to your 2FA method.
  9. Save Changes: Make sure to save any changes you’ve made.
  10. Once 2FA is enabled, you’ll need to enter a verification code each time you log in from a new device or after logging out.
