Trading of software or software related items are not permitted on /r/hardwareswap. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: product keys, in-game items, in-game currency, physical disks for software which requires activation, purchase permits/passes for hardware items, raffle/contest entries, and beta invites.

No selling of accounts logged into consoles, or software downloaded to a console. This includes hacked systems with games installed.

/r/hardwareswap is for the trading and sale of physical items only. Services of any kind are not allowed to be posted, this includes rentals of items. Custom made-to-order items such as sleeved cables, 3D printed items, or keychains are not allowed unless you have already made them.

This includes offering to purchase from a store such as Microcenter and shipping to a customer. This is not allowed.

Financed devices, Pre-orders, Gift Cards, Site Credit, and digital goods such as games, software, game DLC/expansions/addons are not allowed. Any trades using such methods will receive a warning leading to suspension. These items are also not allowed to be posted for sale. Any trades found between these items will not receive flair, and repeated abuse will result in a permanent ban. Software is allowed to be included with an item that is for sale, not sold separately. iCloud locked devices and devices that are locked to a user account are also prohibited from being sold on r/hardwareswap.
